Private visit to Nantes, to the founder of Petit Picotin

A few weeks ago I was in Nantes to photograph the new home of Astrid Geffroy, founder of the brand. Small Picotin whose previous apartment I showed you – in Paris – 5 years ago (you can find visit it here). At the time I had already been seduced by Astrid’s good taste and boundless energy. So I couldn’t wait to see her new home and how her interiors have evolved, just like her beautiful brand which has grown so much since then. And I wasn’t disappointed! Astrid is one of those women who gives you complexes because she is so talented. Starting from his brand which he founded 8 years ago when his second daughter was born, because he wanted to modernize the offer of personalized birth gifts. Ideas and creations then follow one another and success is achieved; so much so that he develops them for all occasions and family events (birthdays, holidays, back to school, etc.). Products made in Portugal and customized in their workshops in Nantes which range from blankets to bathrobes, through to toilet accessories, school backpacks or even decorations, bags, storage baskets or even cute sweatshirts. A wide range of soft colors that stand the test of time, just like French linen and organic cotton. Today her husband Olivier is also part of the adventure! At the same time, Astrid has strong ideas and desires in terms of decoration that she was able to put into practice in this house that she redesigned from A to Z by adding a floor. There is no need for an interior designer to give her advice, she likes this other playground where she selects materials such as the beijmat she found for the fireplace surround or the master bathroom, wood for the kitchen, soft and warm tones that run from one room to another and echo the purity of white that we find as a common thread on the floor, on the wall or in the accessories. Because she always has lots of ideas and a desire to create, Astrid has even set up a ceramic workshop in her garden where she works and creates delightful objects that are sometimes found in her interiors. And the best part is that she doesn’t even look tired behind her big, bright smile. Come on, I’ll show you all this in detail because I took a lot of photos! Have a nice visit!
